St. John's Mercy Medical Pavilion
At the intersection of Clayton Road and Clarkson Road, in Clarkson Valley, St. John’s Mercy Health System is looking toward occupying a 125,000 sq. ft., three story women’s centered medical pavilion. This building, on an 11-acre site, will provide Imaging, Radiation Oncology, Infusion, Surgery Center, Lab, Pharmacy and Physician Offices. Landscape Technologies designed a healing garden where patients can enjoy various plant types. A water feature adds a calming effect and exterior plazas adjacent to the café allow staff and patients to enjoy the outdoors at mealtime. A continuous walking path around the facility let patients enjoy fresh air and sunshine, a respite from concerns and worries. At the rear of the site, a bio-retention pond / rain garden provides an important water management feature. This system holds all drainage on site while returning water runoff to the site’s ground water instead of the sewer system. The seasonal mix of perennials, shrubs and trees throughout the site provide color and attract desirable insects and songbirds. ![]()
“Landscape Technologies has been a long standing design partner with
Archimages, Inc. Randy again has brought his vision and creativity to this
demanding project. The exterior envelope design and landscape amenities are
critical to the generation of a healing environment which is essential for
this type of facility. Randy also provided excellent guidance throughout
the design process and was very instrumental during the municipal approval
process. I appreciate Randy’s attention to detail and the dedication he
brings to this and all projects we have accomplished together”
